Acle is a small market town, blessed with it's own train station. It can be found midway between Norwich and Great Yarmouth on the A47. It has a population of less than three thousand.
Things to see and do:
Acle is situated next to the River Bure. Day boats can be hired from Bridgecraft, by the hour or day to explore the lower reaches of the Bure. For those who like walking, The Weavers Way Circular Walk starts from Acle, is 4.5miles in length and takes around 2 hours to complete. It features riverside walks, striding through open fields and

Restaurant is a very popular eating place by the river. It boasts a separate restaurant, though you can opt to eat in the main well furnished bar as well. The Bridge Inn has extensive grounds by the river for eating al-fresco, and children will be delighted with the arcade and outdoor games area. Acle has three cafes, The Dunes, which is by Acle bridge on the river-front, The Wild Bean Cafe, and the Studio Art Gallery and Tearooms. Takeaways (or home delivery) are available from Acle Spice Indian and Grumpys Chinese Takeaways.
Other Shops:
The East of England Co-op Supermarket is in the town centre. A Marks and Spencer Simply Food outlet is situated at the BP service station, close to the A47. Barclays Bank have a branch here in Acle and you will also find a butcher, hairdressing salon, a newsagents, a post office and a pharmacy. Acle has its own medical practice.
