Sutton Staithe lies at the head of Sutton Broad, though this is a misnomer as the Broad isn't broad at all. It is however very picturesque.
It's very close to Stalham and has a population of around 1,200 people. It is a 30 minute drive from central Norwich.
Things to see and do:
Sutton Staithe boatyard hires out self drive dayboats on which to explore the upper reaches of the River Ant, arguably the prettiest of the Norfolk Broads' rivers. A 20 minute walk will take you to the small town of Stalham, which houses the Broads Museum, with it's collection of marine and land exhibits from life on the Broads through the 19th and 20th centuries.
